Builder – Aluminium Windows & Doors

About the Company

We’re seeking a skilled Builder to join a reputable aluminium joinery team. Reporting to the Building Team Leader, you’ll work closely with the team to meet project deadlines while handling a variety of residential projects, from new builds to
renovating existing homes, installing premium aluminium windows and doors and managing structural alterations.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role where precision, problem-solving, and professionalism matter. You’ll work both independently and alongside other skilled tradespeople, ensuring every project meets high standards. Daily travel across the Lower North Island will be required to service various residential sites. A key part of the role is representing the company professionally on-site. You’ll engage respectfully and clearly with homeowners, builders, and project managers,
maintaining positive relationships and ensuring clients feel confident in the quality and progress of the work.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Installing aluminium windows and doors to NZ Building Code and manufacturer standards
  • Modifying wall openings, framing, and structural elements for joinery installation
  • Reading plans, taking accurate measurements, and preparing sites for work
  • Working collaboratively with the team to meet deadlines
  • Engaging with homeowners, builders, and project managers
  • Maintaining clean, safe, and well-organised work sites

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 2 years’ building or joinery installation experience
  • Proven background in residential renovations and alterations
  • Strong practical skills in framing, fitting, and finishing
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans
  • Full NZ driver’s licence (Site Safe Passport an advantage)
